I've loved romance novels since...like forever. I read across most subgenres of romance. I also write fantasy/paranormal and new adult romance.
So, so, so funny! This is a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey and it was hilarious. Andrew Shaffer covers Earl Grey/Edward's ridiculous hotness and stalker qualities and Anna/Bella's insipid, sheltered, flightiness.
Here's a tidbit:
"Bend over the bed," Earl commands. He has changed from his NASCAR jumpsuit into a black leather vest and flannel kilt. Rubber prosthetics are attached to his ears so that they appear pointed. I am only to address him as the Elfin Warlord Sliverin, he says. I am completely naked except for a pair of fairy wings tied around my back. My faery princess name is Labiamajora.
I haven't (and won't) read Fifty Shades, but I have read Twilight, and multiple reviews/reactions/discussions of Fifty. I finished this book in a single sitting and it was the perfect post-holiday snarky book.
Dying. Go read it. :)
