I've been reading Roxanne St. Claire's Bullet Catchers books out of order, so I was looking forward to reading Johnny's story, since he made such an impression on me in other BC books. He did not disappoint. He's an interesting hero in that he wants to protect his principal (Sage, the heroine) and then feed her comfort food and cuddle. Sounds awesome! It was sweet and kept a good pace. Sage is likeable and determined. There were times I was surprised she didn't figure out that Johnny was a BC, given she's an investigative journalist. But, maybe the smexytimes, having just lost her roommate, and all the yummy italian food were big distractions. St. Claire wove a complex plot and kept me guessing as to the true villain.
Another successful installment in the series and a great read featuring a great city: Boston!
