I've loved romance novels since...like forever. I read across most subgenres of romance. I also write fantasy/paranormal and new adult romance.
I bought this Tessa Dare novella after seeing it on Cat's Best: Romance Best Romance Novels of 2015 (not pubbed in 2015). I absolutely loved it. Eliza is the youngest of four sisters and must wait for her debut. She's frustrated (understandably so) and feisty. Told across a series of social events--each chapter starts with an invitation--Eliza meets Mr. Wright, a notorious rake. And he so is. I loved him.
It's clever, a bit naughty, and contains a plucky heroine. Harry, Mr. Wright, reminded me a bit of Colin from A Week to be Wicked. (Swoon!) I adored this story and can see why it made a best of list. (If I did them, this novella would definitely be on it.)
