Linz Loves Romance

I've loved romance novels since...like forever. I read across most subgenres of romance. I also write fantasy/paranormal and new adult romance.

Prisoner: Mini-Review

Prisoner (Criminals & Captives) (Volume 1) - Annika Martin, Skye Warren

Prisoner sucked me in. The pacing was fast, the settings were gritty, and the characters were unique. Grayson and Abby had a Tarzan/Jane vibe--if Tarzan had friends and carried a gun. It's dark and has some shocking moments. I loved how protective Grayson was of Abby. At first, Abby seemed like a mouse, but she had more grit than the first few pages led me to believe. Their relationship progression had some crazy moments, but I was rooting for them not too far into the book.

If you haven't read Whiskey in the Jar's review and updates, go find them and you'll see why I had to check out Prisoner.

Trigger warning for a scene with dub-con.
