I've loved romance novels since...like forever. I read across most subgenres of romance. I also write fantasy/paranormal and new adult romance.
What I loved: "bad" girl/good guy combo, great set-up, lots of fab UST, awesome first kiss, strong heroine, secondary characters were well-rounded, dark moment was brutal
What was meh: last third of the book strangely got both odd (characters going here and going there!) and also somehow dragged on; hard to tell how characters were related (siblings but one was a duke? Two or three grew up in poverty?)
This is the fourth book in this series. I might read the others, but the ending felt flat for me.
I do enjoy Milan's unique characters (Yay! No alpha-holes!) and precise wording. Great details. So, a mixed bag.
